Dennis Wilson, The Real Beach Boy, uncovers the early life of surfer Wilson and forms part of BBC 4’s legends series. DJ Mark Radcliffe narrates the film, which features unseen archive footage and interviews with Dennis' family and fellow musicians.

The documentary is produced and directed by Matt O’Casey, who made his mark with the BBC documentary Blondie – One Way or Another, and his indie Dusty Slider co-produced the 60-minute documentary.

Executive producer for Lime Tony Wood commented: “I've long been an admirer of Matt O'Casey's rock music documentaries and so pursued the opportunity to facilitate his work further. Making high end docs about popular culture seems a perfect fit for a company built on youth television.”
