HOLLYOAKS Scoops Six British Soap Awards
HOLLYOAKS were the big winners at the 2008 British Soap Awards, taking home more gongs than any other soap for the first time.
Producer Bryan Kirkwood declared himself the 'Proudest Man in England' at a conglaturatory ceremony for the cast and crew at the Lime Pictures site in Childwall, Liverpool.
Winners on the night included Matt Littler and Darren Jon Jeffries, who took the 'Best Onscreen Partnership' award after over a decade in the show as Max and OB.
The show's other successes included:
Roxanne McKee (Louise Summers) - Sexiest Female
Emma Rigby (Hannah Ashworth) - Best Actress
Chris Fountain (Justin Burton) - Best Actor
Gemma Bissix (Clare Cunningham) - Best Exit
Spectacular Scene of the Year - 'Clare Drives Her Car Off a Cliff'
