Disney Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) announced that today marks the first day of filming with the cast for its newest and most ambitious live-action series to date, Evermoor. Multi-talented 19-year-old Australian actress, singer and presenter, Naomi Sequeira leads the way and will star as Tara, an American teen uprooted from her city home in the US and brought to rural England. A host of emerging British talent including George Sear (Friday Download), Georgia Lock (Sadie J, Friday Download), and youngest cast member, 12-year-old Georgie Farmer, hope to follow in the footsteps of fellow Brit and US actors discovered by Disney Channel including War Horse’s Jeremy Irvine, Wizards of Waverly Place’s Gregg Sulkin, Zac Efron, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato.
The filming is taking place in the heart of the North West in the mystical and picturesque grounds of Arley Hall and Gardens, as well as in the surrounding quaint village of Great Budworth in Cheshire. Last month, Disney EMEA announced that the mystery adventure will break new ground as it will become the first long-form, live-action series produced in the UK to broadcast on Disney Channel US.
David Levine, Vice President, Programming, Production and Strategic Development, Disney Channels EMEA comments: “Disney has a fantastic heritage in discovering new talent and we are thrilled to be able to present them on a global stage. We hope that the combination of great storytelling, suspenseful comedy and outstanding casting will resonate with viewers around the world when the series premieres in more than 160 countries later this year.”

It’s not long before danger, mystery and intrigue unfurls and Tara and Seb have to unite to save their new home and their family’s new start in England.
