Lime Pictures Appoints Nick Johns as Head of Development for Unscripted

Lime Pictures are pleased to confirm STV’s Nick Johns in the role of Head of Development for Unscripted in the UK.  Earlier this year, Lime’s former Head of Development for the UK Ben Crompton joined the company’s US division as EVP of Development to accelerate growth in the States.  In the same month the company announced their latest US commission for E! Dating No Filter which is now in production of its second series.

Both Nick Johns and Ben Crompton report directly to Head of Unscripted Sarah Tyekiff who is supported by Creative Director Rebecca Kenny Smith on Lime’s current slate of unscripted programming.

Johns has a proven track record for leading development teams and originating creative ideas and formats for entertainment, quiz, reality and factual entertainment.  He is best known for his creative lead developing and securing commissions on Dancing on Ice for ITV Studios, Let’s Dance for Comic Relief (Whizz Kid Entertainment), Beat the Pack (BBC) and Sex Tape and And They’re Off! (STV).

Prior to joining Lime Pictures Johns was Head of Entertainment Development for STV Productions in London since 2014.  During his tenure he landed commissions for the BBC, C4, ITV1, ITV2 and UKTV.  His key credits include; Babushka, The Dressing Room and Safeword.  Prior to that he was a Development Executive for Victory Television, the BBC and ITV Studios where he also worked as a senior producer on two series of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
