Following its successful pilot scheme last year, Lime Pictures is delighted to announce the formal launch of an annual in-house intern initiative, Lime Interns. The next scheme runs from 2019 and will provide nine individuals with nine months paid work experience in a specific department within its Liverpool production base. The Lime Interns will gain a broad understanding of production whilst acquiring valuable, in depth experience in their chosen area of production including Scenic Design, Visual effects, Costume, Make Up, Scheduling, Music, Camera, Sound and Story.
Hollyoaks triumphed at the British Soap Awards with four wins, including Best British Soap.
The live ceremony, which was hosted by Phillip Schofield, took place on Saturday 1 June at The Lowry theatre in Manchester and welcomed cast and crew from Hollyoaks, Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale and Doctors.

Earlier this year, Lime’s former Head of Development for the UK Ben Crompton joined the company’s US division as EVP of Development to accelerate growth in the States. One of the UK’s largest independent production companies Lime Pictures, has announced it has created a Kids division to be led by in-house duo, Angelo Abela and Tim Compton, reporting to Joint MD’s Kate Little and Claire Poyser. The new entity will sit alongside Lime’s other divisions: Drama and YA, led by Louise Sutton, Hollyoaks and Continuing Drama by Bryan Kirkwood and Non-Scripted programmes by Sarah Tyekiff.
