Hollyoaks is well known for being the quiet village in Chester, where anything and everything can happen! We are currently on the hunt for a talented Story Editor to join the show at a very exciting time as we move into a new format for Hollyoaks. You will bring fresh and creative ideas so that we can continue to deliver the twists and surprises that our viewers love.

As Story Editor for Hollyoaks you will be responsible for the monthly storyline document, editing and writing where necessary to ensure that it adheres to the house writing style and that production constraints are met.

The role of Story Editor requires a high level of creativity, a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills and the ability to consistently offer creative ideas and solutions whilst working to structured deadlines. You will work closely with, and inspire the story team, leading smaller story discussions with guidance from the Story Producer and assisting in giving feedback to members of the team. You will need to be confident in your ability to write A story arcs as and when required.

To be considered for this role you must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, you need to be confident at negotiating and have the ability to build effective working relationships, especially with the Script, Research and Production teams.

You will bring fresh and creative ideas so that we can continue to deliver the twists and surprises that our viewers love.

As Story Producer you will work closely with the Story Consultant, assisting with the creation and planning of long-term story as well as managing short term story block to block. The Story Producer will lead story discussions after conference, inspiring the team and delegating workload.

The role of Story Producer requires a high level of creativity, a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills and the ability to consistently deliver creative ideas and solutions whilst ensuring that the team deliver to structured deadlines whilst always capturing the in-house style. The role holder is responsible for liaising story changes, past and present with the Script Producer and Writers as well as managing cast holidays and guarantees.

To be considered for this role you must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, you need to be confident at negotiating and have the ability to build effective working relationships, especially with the Script, Research and Production teams.
