Lime Pictures, which produces award-winning television shows is offering interns the chance to develop their craft at Hollyoaks, alongside our highly skilled colleagues for a six-month period. This is a paid scheme and offers a unique opportunity to work within a regional television production company, welcoming creative applications rather than focusing on more traditional qualifications.
An assessment day will take place in Liverpool, where Hollyoaks is filmed, involving a mix of interviews and practical tasks, making use of our professional equipment, while being mentored by experts throughout the day.
During your time with us, your will learn on the job, develop a broad understanding of production, gain valuable, in-depth experience in their chosen area, and become well-equipped to apply for entry level positions across the media industry.
Speaking about the internship scheme, Colette Chard, Director of Production, said: “Lime welcomes applications from everyone, whatever your background or circumstance. We are much more interested in your passion for working in this industry than any formal qualification, but it’s a busy and demanding environment so you should be ready to work hard.
In your application please state your preference for working in either the Cameras or Sound departments.
The closing date for applications is 1 January 2025 and applicants will be available to attend an assessment day on 15 January 2025. Ideally, you will be able to start in February 2025 but this can be discussed.

Our values describe what we think is important and unique about the way we work and help us express what it really means to be a part of Lime.
Respect:
Respect is key to the success of our business. We respect ourselves, each other, our audience and our programme brands. We’re a team and we know we work best when we work together. We deliver what we promise.
Difference:
We are proud to champion diversity and we seek out difference. We see each other’s uniqueness as a positive and we listen and learn from each other’s values and ideas, recognising the contribution each individual person makes. We know that different voices in front and behind the camera make our brands better and stronger and we want those voices to be heard by audiences on a global scale.
Talent:
Talent is at the heart of everything we do. We expect our people to grow and develop and we revel in their success. We invest time and resources so our people can push their talent and skills to the limit and we encourage them to make the most of their opportunities.
Pride:
We are Lime Pictures and we’re proud of our heritage and excited about our future. Our ambition knows no bounds. We care about what we do so we’ll roll up our sleeves and go beyond our job description to make sure we deliver the best results as a team.
Adventurous:
We’re loud, proud and fearless, stepping out of our comfort zone is where the magic happens. We encourage innovation and originality. We push the boundaries, address difficult issues and break the silence. We work to the spirit, not the letter. We are never average.
In Liverpool we continually seek to expand our pool of freelance talent, providing excellent prospects for freelancers to become part of a workforce that values the distinctive contributions of each individual to our projects.
The Lime Internship is a training scheme with a difference. Across our production departments we have created opportunities for Interns to spend time learning their craft alongside highly skilled colleagues on our award winning shows.
