VFX Generalist

We are currently searching for a VFX Generalist to join our Design team at Lime Pictures.

As a Designer you will be expected to create strong creative concepts, ideas and design solutions to projects across our portfolio. You will also produce high quality graphics including shoot material, title sequences, Motion Graphics, and Visual Effects.

Required Skills and Experience:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in either of the following disciplines; graphic design, visual effects design, creative visualisation, FX for film/TV
  • Diploma or similar qualification in graphic design/Visual effects

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Minimum 3 years production experience in VFX/film or TV Broadcast.
  • A strong design all-rounder with proven experience in 3D, visual effects and motion graphics
  • Experience on a live set
  • The ability to work in a fast paced environment

EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL IN…

COMPOSITION

  • Matte generation (roto, keying etc)
  • 2D / Planar tracking
  • 3D Camera Tracking
  • Plate Cleanup (painting, wires and rig removal)
  • Set extensions, specifically projection mapping and light-duty matte painting
  • CGI compositing in After Effects

CGI

  • Polygonal Modelling
  • UV mapping
  • Texture creation and manipulation
  • Lighting, Shading, and Rendering

SOFTWARE – ESSENTIAL

  • Extensive experience in After Effects is required
  • Experience in Maya or Cinema 4D is strongly preferred
  • Photoshop

SOFTWARE – DESIRABLE

  • Illustrator

Publicity Intern

Lime Pictures, one of the UK’s largest independent producers, is looking for a Publicist-Intern to join our successful Publicity team.

The role holder will offer full administrative and publicity support to the Publicity team, and will be expected to;

  • Keep abreast of programme story-lines and characters in Hollyoaks, as well as our other shows such as TOWIE, and be aware of the overall communications strategy of the department
  • Be on the frontline of press enquiries and respond to requests appropriately
  • Have an understanding of sensitive and contentious press issues and be able to refer such issues to the wider team
  • Assist with the preparation of programme press packs
  • Liaise with production to get artists released for relevant publicity.

 

Applicants should have completed a relevant degree or have some experience of working within a publicity environment, and have:

  • Excellent time management skills
  • A knowledge of the television industry
  • Knowledge of Hollyoaks and Lime’s other programmes
  • An adaptable communication style, with the ability to present information in a clear and effective manner, with an understanding of others behaviors and agendas

Story Editor

We are currently looking for a Story Editor to join our Story team. The successful candidate will manage the storyline team in the devising, writing and editing of detailed storylines to an agreed vision as outlined by the Series Producers and Executive Producer. Role Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the story team and the day to day running of the story office, including all work relating to the publication of the storylines and office administration
  • Co-chair story and commissioning conferences
  • Plan the block and pitch it to the Series Producers/Exec Producer
  • In conjunction with the senior storyliner, lead the talk-throughs with the storyline team then apportion work appropriately
  • Edit storyliners’ work before edits with the producers
  • Re-write, re-work and edit storylines to the agreed vision of the producers
  • Oversee production of character biographies
  • Run small groups and character workshops
  • Plan the long term direction of stories with the Story Consultant, Series Producers/Exec
  • Assist Writers, Script Editors and production with story queries
  • Work with and contribute to Online as required
  • Keep abreast of youth culture, and have an awareness of current issues to help generate agenda-setting stories

Senior Storyliner

We are currently looking for a Senior Storyliner to join our Story team. The successful candidate will devise and write detailed storylines to an agreed vision as outlined by the Story Editor, Series Producers and Executive Producer and to deputise for the Story Editor when required. Role Responsibilities include:

  • Contributing ideas to story conference, block planning and talk-thru
  • Writing engaging, compelling storylines that conform to the house style and the brief agreed by the Story Editor
  • Working closely with the Schedulers to ensure that the storylines work within our production parameters
  • Re-writing and re-working storylines where appropriate
  • Deputising for the Story Editor when required, leading talk through and performing edits

STANDBY ART DIRECTOR

We are currently searching for a Standby Art Director to join our Design team at Lime Pictures on a 6 month FTC. The successful candidate will ensure all design elements of Production are secured and augmented on a day to day basis and ensure the smooth running of the shoot, along with the following duties:

  • Liaise with Directors for both sets and location design requirements
  • Liaise with Graphics regarding any graphic requirement
  • Liaise with Production regarding short-term and long-term design possibilities
  • Manage and provide effective leadership to the shoot Design team
  • Work closely with and provide a high level of support to the Production Designer
  • Provide support to the other Standby Art Directors
  • Break down scripts
  • Attend Production/Script meetings to contribute and manage the design element
  • Ensure programme compliance
  • Stand in for the Production Designer if required
  • Produce drawings and story boards if requested
  • Responsibility and accountability for block budgets
  • Other duties which are reasonable and appropriate to the post.

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications, skills, knowledge and experience: Qualifications

  • Interior Design/Film Design related degree or equivalent qualification/industry experience
  • Production Health and Safety qualification
