Lion Television today announced that filming has commenced with Britain’s biggest family, The Radfords, for a brand-new series of their show 22 Kids and Counting. Following the ratings success of the previous series, Channel 5 have now commissioned a bumper 10 x 60 minutes of the family focused documentary. Cameras will once again follow the busy lives of Noel and Sue Radford, plus their 22 children, six grandchildren… and four dogs!
Since we last saw the Radfords, life in their 10-bedroom home in Morecambe has been as hectic as ever for the family. Eldest daughter, Chloe, has flown the nest and set up home with her boyfriend, Millie’s baby Ophelia is growing up fast, Daniel has come back home from the RAF and Noel is run off his feet with the family pie business. He is now taking on new staff and planning to move into new premises. Elsewhere, the family’s French Bulldogs are becoming a handful and are about to get a big shock when Sue takes them to puppy classes. Best of all, Noel and Sue have booked two camper vans and are taking everyone on a trip through the Highlands. Watch out Scotland!
On the recommission of their series, Noel and Sue Radford say: “We’re really pleased to be letting the cameras back into our everyday family lives and are looking forward to sharing more fun and mayhem with everyone over the coming months.”
Nick Catliff, Executive Producer and Chief Content Officer, Lion TV says: “We have been making films with Sue and Noel for eight years and watched their family grow and grow so it’s just great to be back with them again as they take on new challenges and adventures in the way that only the Radfords can”.
Dan Louw, VP Commissioning Editor for Channel 5, says: “22 Kids and Counting was a much loved addition to the Channel 5 family last year, and we can’t wait to welcome another series of good, old-fashioned family fun.”
22 Kids and Counting is a 10 x 60-minute series commissioned by Dan Louw, VP Commissioning Editor for Channel 5 and executive produced by Nick Catliff, Lion TV. Series Director is Steph Anderson.
